Staley, Timothy M. age 71 of Tipp City, OH passed away at his home on Friday, November 19, 2021. Born on August 15, 1950 in Springfield, OH to Lisle and Evabelle (Stevens) Staley, Tim was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister, Melinda Clarke. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele (Truitt) Staley, Tipp City, OH, and his sons Christopher (Megan Sowder) Staley, Takoma Park, MD, and Eric Dunn, Huber Heights, OH. He is also survived by his sister Theresa (Don) Edwards, Kettering OH, his granddaughter Georgia Staley, and several nieces and nephews.
Upon graduating from Fairmont East High School (Kettering, OH) in 1968, Tim served in the United States Navy from 1969-1973 and the Navy Reserves until 1975. Tim began working for Bowser-Morner, Inc. in 1978 as a driller’s assistant, eventually earning a BS in Geology and an MBA from Wright State University, and retiring from Bowser-Morner in 2016 as Vice President and Risk Manager.
Tim enjoyed stories—reading them, watching them, telling them—and had a fantastic sense of humor. He loved to learn, which anyone who ever watched Jeopardy! with him knew all too well. He had an eye for taking photographs, enjoyed playing golf, and fiddling with his latest gadget. Tim was caring, compassionate, and always there to lend a hand; but above all else, he loved his family.
