Sheila Gilmore Davis

Sheila Gilmore Davis, age 67 passed away peacefully at Ohio Hospice in Troy, Ohio on Monday, September 27, 2021. Sheila was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 18, 1954. She is survived by the love of her life, Timothy Kerg, and his two sons, Andy and Josh Kerg. She is preceded in death by her mother, Faye Gilmore, brother, Kenny Gatewood, and uncle, James Lucas. Tim and Sheila met in 1975, and their love for each other grew greatly over the years they spent together.

Shelia attended Miami East High School. She recently retired from Free Flow Distribution in Dayton, Ohio. She was also employed at Hickory River in Tipp City, Ohio where she looked forward to helping her friend, Ava Empson.  Sheila was an active member at the Crossroads Baptist Church in New Carlisle, Ohio. She very much enjoyed the company of her church family and working with Shannon Cooper at the church coffee bar. Sheila enjoyed her horse Rome and spending time at the barn with him and taking Andy, Ava, and Josh out with her after supper to groom and feed the horses. She cherished the love she had for Rome, along with her three cats Sonny, Cher, and LG. Sheila loved drag racing, attending car and bike shows, fishing with Tim, and spending time at the shooting range with her friend Tammy Fleming. She looked forward to Bike Night at “The Flats” where they would ride their Harley to meet up with their good friends, Angie and Dave Rice and take a cruise. Sheila had a passion for the outdoors and taking care of her yard and loved her flowers. She was a longtime fan of the Denver Broncs and recently became interested in the return of the eagles at Carillon Historical Park.

 Shelia was dearly loved and will be missed by all.  To all the people that helped me through this, thank you. You know who you are. And to my sweetheart and love of my life Sheila Gilmore Davis, I love you and you will be in my heart forever. Please wait for me, wait for me.  Love you forever, Tim XO.

A visitation will be held for Sheila on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church, 9903 W. National Road, New Carlisle, Ohio 45344. Memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM with a dinner to follow. Pastor R.C. McDonald, officiating. Donations may be made in loving memory of Sheila to the Crossroads Baptist Church, or please plant a tree for Shelia. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME.
