Rose Ann Martin

Martin, Rose Ann age 90 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Thursday August 3, 2023. She was born August 31, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio to the Walter and Marianna {Lech} Kleismit. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Arlin Martin and siblings; Eugenia Martin, Steve Kleismit, Eddie Kleismit and Stella Bir. She is survived by her children; Connie (Ron) Muzechuk of Dayton, Ohio, Gwen (Tom) Hoerr of Pieoria, Illinois, Cynthia (Steve) Pegg of Beavercreek, Ohio and Marianna Martin of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving are grandchildren; Nicole (Jason) Merkle, Nathan (Sandra) Corron, Ryan Corron, Marissa (Joel ) Thoms, Taylor Pegg, Brandon Pegg and Cameron Martin and great grandchildren; Violet, Eli, Riley Rose and Allie.

Our mom, whom we loved so much, passed away after an amazing life. She was a 1951 graduate of Saint Joseph commercial high school in Dayton Ohio. She started working in civil defense pausing to care for a growing family. Once we were old enough for school, she began a career in the hospitality industry, eventually thriving as the manager of the Troy Country Club. After she retired, she poured her heart into looking after her cherished grandkids. She was proud of her Polish roots and lived it out loud with fun polka tunes, lively dancing, and the best homemade Polish food. And let's not forget her strong Catholic faith that kept her grounded throughout her life. She leaves a legacy of love, a knack for making people feel at home, and a deep respect for her heritage that will keep inspiring us. A big shout-out to Mari and Cameron for all the love and care they gave Mom in her last years.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of Mass at 12:30 PM, Wednesday August 9, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
