Brazel, Robert “Bob” W. age 76 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 after a long illness. Born December 12, 1946 in Summit County, OH to the late Wilson E. and Vaunceil {Felt} Brazel. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jan (Wallace) Brazel and his three sons: Robert ( Parrish), of Tipp City, Michael (Alana) of Tulsa Oklahoma, and Eric (Arianna) of Union and brother William Brazel of Norton, Ohio. He thoroughly enjoyed his eight grandchildren: Reid and Shepard, Colton and Lillian, Carter, Jenna, Delanie, and Braxton, Bob graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1964, graduated from Kent State in 1969 with a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation of Natural Resources, and received his Master’s in School Administration from Wright State University. Bob taught Earth Science in Tipp City for 17 years before becoming the 7-12 grade principal and athletic director at Newton schools in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He then spent several years as an assistant high school principal in Sidney before finishing his 47 years in education as an assistant principal at Northmont High School. In July of 1971, Bob joined the Tipp City Police Auxiliary and served the community for 17 years, part of the time as a part time patrolman filling in vacation times for other patrolmen. He had many hobbies and interests including fishing especially in Canada at Tooley Lodge with the family, hunting, lapidary, raising rabbits for show and enjoyed wood working, model trains and gardening as well as photography. He enjoyed road trips, traveling all over the US and Canada. His highlight was a train trip and cruise to Alaska. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tipp City. Visitation 4:00 to 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Hussong officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Miami County, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation or Tipp City Squad.
