Rollins, Richard D. age 87, passed away on June 14, 2021 in Tipp City at his home surrounded by his family. Born September 29, 1933, in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Cleveland and Hazel Rollins. Richard is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Wanda {Woods} Rollins of Tipp City, daughter, Belinda (Ted) Ruff of Tipp City, granddaughter, Ashley (Justin) Roberts of Tipp City, great grandson, Caden (son of Ashley and Justin), along with nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents along with 3 sisters and 1 brother.
A veteran of the US Army, Richard served in the Korean War. Following the army, he returned to work for LS Starrett (formerly Herman Stone) for over 60 years. After he was put on disability due to medical reasons Richard spent his time enjoying yardwork, most importantly, mowing the grass.
Visitation is scheduled for 5PM-7PM, Wednesday June 23, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, followed by a short funeral service; Pastor John Hughes from Skyview Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
