Paula Morrie Obituary

Morrie, Paula Sue age 68 of Troy Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center.  Born November 2, 1951 in Battle Creek Michigan to the late Walter and Gladys Madewell. She is survived by husband of 49 years Albert Morrie, Son Steven Morrie (Rhonda), daughter Melanie Kramer (Jeff), grandchildren Cole Morrie, Katie Kramer, Saige Morrie, Hannah Kramer and Jacob Kramer.  Paula it’s also survived by her brother Gary Madewell (Joyce), sister Anita Jo Schulte (Denis), nieces Dawnette Hall (Dan), April Shirey (Blake) and Kristin Fields (Dustin), nephews Van Laycox (Shelly) and Scott Madewell (Misty), as well as many loving cousins. Paula is also survived by her best friend and sister-in-law Valerie Burton (Dale), Niece Shannon Burton and nephew Robert Coffey. Paula spent most of her childhood in Livingston, Tennessee and moved to Ohio with her family where she graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1970.  On September 26, 1970 she married the love of her life.  Paula and Albert started their family in Kettering and moved to Troy in 1990.  Paula was the secretary for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dayton post for many years, she retired in 1999.  The highway patrol family was an important part of her life.  Her hobbies were crafting, sewing and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was known as Soccer Gma Paula by many.  She was described as funny, quick witted, blunt (with love) and feisty. Paula‘s family was her whole world, her everything. She was the heart of the family, the matriarch and known for her incredible strength.  She will be deeply missed by all those she touched; her heart will go on through her family, friends and her fur baby Zeva.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Friday, March 13,2020 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W.
