NAAS, Norman C.

Loving husband and caring father of two children, passed away at the age of 82 on Friday, September 14, 2018 in Tipp City, Ohio.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 12, 1936 to Carroll & Julia (Madascy) Naas.  Norman is survived by, and will be forever missed by his loving and cherished wife of 62 years, Ruth Ann (Miller); daughter, Debby Rode (Kevin) of Tipp City: son, Daniel Naas (Shawn) of Troy; 3 grandchildren, Justin Rode, Jessica Rode, and Jordan Rode who patiently and lovingly cared for him in his final days; brother, David (Linda) Naas, brothers-in-law, John Haws, John Wright, Jr., & Darryl Meadors, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Haws, and sisters-in-law, Wanda Howard and Becky Wright.

Norman was a devoted Christian and longtime member of the Vandalia Church of Christ, and later in life, the Tipp City Church of Christ.  He served in numerous positions with the Church through the years, including Elder, and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years.  Norman’s lifework and passion were that of a tool maker and was the former owner of Norson Corporation.  He graduated from Kiser High School in 1955 and enjoyed close friendships with his classmates until the end.  For much of his life, Norman enjoyed flying as a private pilot, known in the skies as “Bravo Whiskey.” 

Funeral service 6 p.m. Monday at FRINGS & BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.  Pastor Bob Vincent will officiate.  The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. preceding services.  If desired, memorials may be made to Tipp City Church of Christ. www.fringsandbayliff.com
