Michael “Mike” Allen Werts

Werts, Michael “Mike” Allen age 67 of Centerville, Ohio passed away Friday October 20, 2023. Mike was born on June 11, 1956 in Troy, Ohio to Allen and Betty {Nielsey} Werts who precede him in death. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Teresa “Terrie” {Flory} Werts of Centerville, Ohio, children; Tyler (Kristina) Werts of Warm Springs, Georgia, Jenna Werts of Baltimore, Maryland and Sam Werts of Piqua, Ohio and one granddaughter; Addison Werts. Also surviving are siblings; David (Georgia) Werts and Charline Werts all of Tipp City, Ohio. 

Mike loved The Ohio State University football and “The Old” Cleveland Browns. He was passionate about music, especially singing tenor in many choirs and performing at countless weddings. He even had the privilege to sing at a Cincinnati Reds game. Mike helped with Tippecanoe High School plays, the Young Spirits church group and was in the West Milton Players Community Theater Group. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City for over 20 years.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM Tuesday October 24, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Dale Schaefer officiating. Burial to follow at Wheelock Cemetery, West Milton, Ohio. Mike’s family suggests anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in his memory to please consider the American Stroke Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
