Mary Ellen {Campbell} Maybury of Tipp City, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2023 after accepting Jesus as her Savior in June 1956. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. “Bob” Maybury and daughter of the late Sarah Dean and Henry Neal Campbell. She was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons and their families: Charles Robert “Rob” Maybry Jr and Cindy and grandsons Alex, Ashton, and Cody, all of Georgetown, Kentucky, Howard “Neal” Maybury and Jamie and granddaughters Lona and Emma, all of Tipp City, Ohio. She is also survived by two brothers and their families: Tom Campbell and Mark Campbell.
She was a Southern Baptist her whole life. She loved her Savior Jesus. She taught Sunday school for nearly 50 years, served with summer missionaries in Ohio and Massachusetts, served as church clerk, pianist, taught and directed Bible school, and led mission trips to Indiana and Iowa. She worked Billy Graham’s Telephone Ministry. She wanted everyone to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.
She was a registered nurse; having worked in the OR, research, management, ER, OB, all specialties, nursing education, and legal consulting. She was also an Industrial Training Specialist. Included in “Who’s Who In Nursing”, “Who’s Who In America”, and “Who’s Who In American Women.” She was a lifelong member of the National Nurses’ Health Study and President of the TN Nursing Association.
The Lord was first in her life, enabling her to abundantly love her sons, daughter-in-laws, and her grandchildren who were so precious to her. She loved all of her extended family and the many special people she talked with on the phone.
Family and friends will meet at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 4:00-5:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Mosheim, Tennessee, next to her husband.
