Mary L. Gibson

Gibson, Mary Louise {Stevens} at the beautiful age of 90 went to be with our good Lord at 2:25 PM on June 4, 2022 at her home.  She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Mary was born to the late Basil and Bernice Stevens on September 21, 1931 in Zanesville, Ohio.  She eloped to marry the love of her life and late husband, Arthur Gibson in Greenup County Kentucky on October 15, 1949.  She was an extremely loving mother to her four children, Larry Gibson of Troy, OH, Jeff Gibson of Yellville, AK, Gail Emrick of Tipp City, OH and Brent (Leslie) Gibson of Troy, OH.

Mary is preceded in death by two sisters, Arnetta Barcheck {Stevens} and Beatrice “Joy” Maynard {Stevens} along with two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Stevens and Junior Stevens.  She is survived by her sister, Shirley (Jack) Pitts of Tennessee, three grandchildren, Keith (Diana) Barber of Pennsylvania, Jamie (Vaughn) Hill of Tennessee, Shaun Gibson-Jones (Robert House) of Piqua, Ohio and four great grandchildren, Jacob Hill, Kylar and Layne Jones and Colton house.

Mary was an avid outdoors woman; she loved to be outside in all seasons.  She loved her flowers and to garden.  Along with the outdoors she always had dogs but loved all animals.  Mary was an avid hockey and sports fan as well.
