It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Louise Bush, a cherished mother, grandmother, and a farmer’s wife. She departed this world on Monday, Oct 9th 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and an unbreakable bond with her family and the farm that she held dear.
Linda was born on April 4th 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Frederick and Dorothy {Taylor} Florence. She was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her unending passion for leaving this world a better place, and her profound connection to her grandchildren. Her journey began in Dayton, Ohio where she was raised with a deep respect for the values of hard work and perseverance, but perhaps the most cherished aspect of her life, was her role as a grandmother. Her eyes would light up with joy at the sound of her grandchildren's laughter, and she would regale them with tales of the farm's history and the simple pleasures of rural life. Linda and Bob spent countless hours teaching them the love of farming, instilling in them a love for the land, and sharing the values that they held dear. Her home was always filled with the aroma of good cooking, the warmth of a crackling fireplace, and the laughter of her beloved family. The bonds she forged with her grandchildren were unbreakable, and the memories they shared will forever be cherished.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and brother Raymond Florence. She is survived by her children; Stacey Voight of Tipp City, Ohio, Robert (Kim) Bush Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, brother Frederick (Sally) Florence of Troy, Ohio, sister-in-law Phyllis Florence of Springboro, Ohio and four wonderful grandchildren; Tyla Voight, Brodi Voight, Emaleigh Bush (fiancé Gabriel Cruz) and Mallory Bush, and a community of friends and neighbors who were touched by her kindness and generosity.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, let us remember her for the love she gave, the wisdom she shared, and the indomitable spirit with which she cultivated her family and her farm. In honoring her memory, may we find solace in the knowledge that her love and legacy will endure, like the fertile soil she so passionately tended.
Rest in peace, dear Linda, your love and light will continue to shine upon us all.
