Katharine L. Jackson

Katharine Lucelle Sumner Jackson journeyed to her heavenly home on October 28, 2023 at the age of 70 surrounded by her loving family. She held many jobs in her younger years until she began her career as an administrative assistant at the Ohio EPA where she retired from.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony, her parents Earl and Helen Sumner, and brother Steve Sumner.

She is survived by her brother Chris Sumner, sister; Carol (Jim) Burdette, adoring nephew and nieces, Bradley Hobbs, Jackie Hobbs, Lisa (Brandon) Myers, and Katie Burdette, as well as her mother-in-law Shirley (Dan) Reasor, and stepdaughter Christina Austin.

Kathy, born in Dayton, Ohio graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1971 where she made lifelong friends. She lived in Tipp City her entire life. Family gatherings, holidays, and celebrations were the most cherished times. Kathy enjoyed trips to Florida with her husband, was a passionate flower gardener, and an amazing dog mom.

Visitation will be held at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 Saturday, November 4 from 12:00-1:00 PM, with a memorial service following at 1:00 PM.
