Winblad, Joseph Leonard age 76 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Saturday July 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Troy, Ohio on September 28, 1946 to the late Charles “Carl” and Jean {Leonard} Winblad and lived in Tipp City his entire life. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn “Beatle” {Washuk} Winblad, children; Nickolas (Tracey) Winblad of Troy and Christopher (Noel) Winblad of Tipp City. Also surviving are siblings; Michael (Molly) Winblad of Tipp City, John (Cindy) Winblad of Kettering and Anne Jimenez of Tipp City and four grandchildren.
Joe was a 1965 Tippecanoe High School graduate. He was drafted into the US Army in 1966 spending his tour in Germany. His love for his country was always very strong. Joe started his first of many businesses in 1970 including Ludlow Wireless in 1984 which grew to over 20 locations. He enjoyed drag racing and other motorsports, golf, fishing, football and friends. Joe’s first priority was always family. He was a loving father and grandfather who always enjoyed family get togethers which included almost every Cincinnati Bengals game.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the WACO Historical Society in the Red Building, 1865 S. County Road 24A, Troy, Ohio 45373.
