Honeycutt, James R. “Pops” age 73 of Tipp City, passed away Thursday January 14, 2021 in Dayton, OH. Born October 1, 1947 in Dayton, OH to Walter and Hazel {Reed} Honeycutt. He is preceded in death by his father and brother Jerry Honeycutt. James is survived by his mother; Hazel, wife of 48 years; Bonnie {Gay} Honeycutt, Tipp City, OH, son; Chad (Deena) Honeycutt, St. Paris, OH, daughter Jennifer Honeycutt, Tipp City, OH, grandchildren; Caitlyn Smith, Logan Weikert, Kiara & Karissa Bui, Hanna, Siera, Jeffrey and Lillie Honeycutt and great grandchildren; Ava, Maddox & Willow.
James proudly served his country in the United State Navy during Vietnam and was employed by General Motors; Delphi, Moraine as a plumber. He was a member of the VFW #4615 and Eagles Lodge #2201, Tipp City, OH. James enjoyed golf, boating, euchre, casinos and dancing. He loved his family dearly; especially his grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371; Chaplain Randy Reed, officiating. Burial will follow in Dayton Nation Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home.
