Kulczak, Edwin J., age 88, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away Thursday June 29, 2023. Born July 18, 1934, to the late Edwin R. and Genevieve {Kalinowski} Kulczak in Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years; Shirley Ann {Scherie} Kulczak, son; Edwin J. (Mary Rose) Kulczak II of Saline, Michigan, and brother, Michael Kulczak of Frederick, Maryland. Also surviving are grandchildren; Lucas, John, and Samuel Kulczak, step-children; Debbie (Jay) Johnson of Wilmington, Ohio, Douglas Lee Lafferty of New Lexington, Ohio, and step-grandchildren, Jennifer Bone, Shelby Lee Lafferty, and Jessica Rogers and first cousins, James and Marilyn Chlopek.
Edwin was a 1960 graduate of the University of Toledo. He served his country overseas in the Marine Corp from 1953 until 1957. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after a long and successful career in sales. Edwin enjoyed golf, hunting, bird watching, and the annual prognostications of Puxantawney Phil, the ‘Seer of Seers’. He was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and the University of Toledo Rockets. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, American Legion Post #586 and First Baptist Church, Tipp City.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Reggie Osborne officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
