Obituary

MOORE, Edgar T, 85, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy Ohio.  He was born in Hazelgreen, Kentucky on June 28, 1937, the son of Jesse and Marie (Madden) Moore. He is survived by son Barry and daughter Rochelle, and siblings, Kelly Moore (Bev), Jesse Moore (Lori), Annetta Fisher, Kenneth Moore (Kim), Dennis Moore (Diane), and Sharon Carpenter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Shane, his parents, and his sisters, India Underwood and Geraldine Stoliker. Edgar, fondly known as Ed, served in the Army as an MP and wanted to give back to other Veterans by serving in the Honor Guard at the American Legion, Post 586 in Tipp City, where he was a lifetime member. Ed was an avid bowler, bowling in a weekly league for many decades until shortly before his passing.  He was dubbed the fish whisperer after catching 102 fish in a day during one Father’s Day get together – a feat he was very proud of and very often reminded his loved ones of this accomplishment. He was loved by so many, especially his children, as he entered our lives when we were young and instantly became our dad. We will always cherish him and miss him endlessly until the day we are brought back together.  There will be a Celebration of Life gathering – details to be announced at a later date.
