Dorothy "Dottie" A. Krise

On Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 90, Dorothy A. Krise’s “Dottie” wonderful journey on earth ended. Dottie was loved by many, especially her husband of 67 years, Web, and their children Judy, Lynn (John Lyon), Marty (Sandra), Greg (Kristen), and Betsy (Steve Campbell). She was blessed with 9 grandchildren (Laura, Tyler, Sarah, Ben, Jason, Stephanie, Brad, Leanne, and Amelia) and 11 great-grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Dottie knew that her family meant everything to her. She loved without judgement, in a way that was truly unconditional. She was who we all ran to when we faced difficult times or when we had something special to share. She was bolstered by her faith in God and could quote any and every word of the Bible.

She and Web joyously celebrated all the wondrous and mundane moments of life at the home they made together in Tipp City. They hosted events, large and small, for family and friends with homemade food and lots of interesting conversations. When it was just the two of them alone, they planted flowers, watched the backyard birds, talked, read books, and enjoyed each other’s company, sitting side-by-side in their family room. She lived her life with grace and a happy heart. We will all miss the way she tilted her head, then gave us the most loving smile.

Services will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Tipp City on Thursday, October 26th. Public viewing will begin at 10:30 AM. A catholic funeral mass begins at 11:30 AM.
