Donald W. Snyder, 66, of Tipp City passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on June 7, 1953 to the late Donald R. & Ella M. (Brown) Snyder.
Don was a 1971 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and went into the U.S. Army.
After his service, he became a welder and steel fabricator. He retired in 2007 from General Motors as a skilled tradesman. He was a 32-degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton and Masonic Lodge #742 Vandalia, OH. He loved his church family at Tipp City Church of the Nazarene and ringing the bell for The Salvation Army Kettle Drive. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching and many other hobbies. He was a craftsman of all sorts and enjoyed working on old cars and mini bikes in his garage.
Don loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Deborah (Flory) Snyder, daughter Emily Frake & her husband Colin, son Logan Snyder, sister Kerry Thomas and her husband Kim, brother David Snyder and his wife Cammy, In-laws Richard and Madelon Flory, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on May 20, 2021 from 6:00-7:00 PM at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene,1221 W. Main Street. Tipp City, OH 45371, with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM; Pastor Rachel Kuhn officiating.
