David John May

May, David John age 71 of Tipp City, OH passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Born December 8, 1950 in Sidney, OH to the late John D. and Mary Ellen {Evans} May.  Along with his parents he is preceded in death by brother, Bob May.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Jane {Riethman} May, Tipp City, OH, son, Tony (Aimee) May, Vandalia, OH, daughter, Angie (Brian) Strong, Tipp City, OH, sister-in-law Mary May, Canada and four grandchildren, Maria May, Nicole, Will and Megan Strong.

David was a graduate from Bowling Green State University and worked in retail management, most recently for County Market and Walgreens. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a fan of Tipp City volleyball, football, and track, OSU football, and Joe Burrow. David enjoyed reading, playing ping pong with friends and family, watching his kids and grandkids play sports and spending time with his friends. He loved to travel, especially going on cruises with wife and friends or family trips to Myrtle Beach. He also loved listening to music, with favorites from the 60’s and 70’s that he often knew all the lyrics to. His greatest love was for his family, especially watching his grandchildren grow.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH.  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the church; Father Rob Waller Celebrant, burial in St. John Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W.
