Catherine Faye Tofstad

Tofstad, Catherine F. “Cathy” age 66 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away too soon on Monday, July 10, 2023. Cathy was born on October 1, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James V. and Joyce L. {Martin} Henry. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents and siblings; Mark Henry and Debbie Lang. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lindsay Tofstad, daughters; Brooke (Kelly) Carville, Sarah Tofstad, Kelly and Isla Butz, siblings; Belinda (Ayman) El Sebaei, Connie (Jim) Turney, Jeff Henry and his wife Sharon who was very special to Cathy. Also survived are her grandchildren; Preston, Bryce, and Keaton, Cathy’s mother Nancy Henry, Lindsay’s mother Jean Tofstad, and special friends; Debbie McCollough, Kim Yardly, Mary Jo Schaffer, Andi Crouch, and Rick and Pam Geiser, who the family would like to give special thanks.

Cathy was tremendously passionate with her work as Founder and Assistant Director for On The Rise, a non-profit organization in Springfield, Ohio that “strives to help students develop into a well-rounded citizen by teaching life skills, social skills and employable skills.” She was kind, loving, supportive, and helpful. In her spare time, Cathy enjoyed gardening and reading. Cathy’s husband, Lindsay described her as “the love of his life.” She brought so much joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Cathy will be greatly missed by all.  

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the memorial service at 1:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Jody from Sugar Grove Church will officiate.
