Carol Ann Staup

Staup, Carol Ann age 80, of Huntsville, AL, died on March 6, 2024 following a 20-year battle with multiple myeloma. Carol was born in Dayton, OH to John and Arzella Durst.  Carol graduated from Bethel High School in 1961 before marrying James C Staup Jr. September 14 1963. Carol was president of the Officers Wives Club at Maxwell AFB, Carol always enjoyed planning and hosting parties for family and friends and crafts such as quilting and cross-stitch. Carol was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Carol was preceded in death by her parents John Durst and Arzella Linscott, sister Margaret Wells, and is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Staup Jr., children James Staup III (Dewanna), Angela (Pamela), and Jonathan (Carelyn), Grandchildren Andrew (Elizabeth), Alex (Marcus), Brady (Melanie), and Anna Kate, Great-grandchildren May and Mia, and sister Deborah Fisher (Oran).

Visitation will be held 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2024 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Father Robert Hale, Celebrant.
