Lynch, Barbara J. age 85 of Tipp City passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born on June 1st 1936 in Dalton, Georgia. Barbara J. Patton was the youngest of 12 children; Robert, Nora, Lottie, Bonnie, Carl, Carlos, Thelma, Farris, Pauline, CB, and Cecil. Born of humble beginnings to Pickney and Callie Patton. Not having been able to completely finish her schooling, she went on to have four successful careers throughout her lifetime. Taking care of her mother after her father passed when she was 15 years old, she moved with her mother to Dayton, Ohio where she met and married William Donald Lynch. The two of them happily shared 42 years of marriage together. She worked for McCalls Publishing Company for 10 years, making friendships that would last for the rest of her life.
After having three children of her own, she went to work for Huber Heights school system as a bus driver, driving severe behavior children for 26 years. Also making friendships that have lasted to this day. Her students wanted her to adopt them, which she did “unofficially” along with many of her own children’s friends. After retiring from driving a school bus, she worked at PSA airlines for another eight years before retiring from there. Having the strong work ethic that she did, she went back to work as a live-in caregiver to many clients even younger than she was. Always giving her all. Once again making lasting friendships.
With too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name individually, she was a second mom to many, always opening her home to anyone who may be without one. She devoted her life to those she loved and had a way of making everyone feel loved.
She is survived by her three children Cassie Simon of Venice, Florida, Donny Lynch of Tampa, Florida and Misi Myers of Tipp City, Ohio, four grandsons Rob Morick, Mat Morick, Tony Morick all of Dayton, Ohio and William Lynch of Tampa, Florida, and one granddaughter, Bobbi-Jo Pelphrey and husband Jimmy Pelphrey of Tipp City, Ohio. Also, special friend and companion Jack Francis. Thanks to all who loved and cared for her the last years, especially Misi Myers and her niece Renee Chartrand of Dalton GA.
