Harker, Ann Schoch passed away peacefully, Friday, September 20, 2019. A lifelong resident of Ohio and longtime resident of Dayton, OH, she most recently resided at Randall Residence in Tipp City.
Ann was born on March 7, 1932 to Rudolph F. and Florence M. Roof of Ottawa, OH. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from Marygrove College in Detroit and a Master’s Degree from Wright State University. She taught for over 30 years at Precious Blood Catholic Elementary School. She also taught many years at Sinclair Community College. She was active in many civic organizations. She enjoyed golf, bridge, gardening, travel, sports, books, and her cats.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Michael S. Schoch and Donald F. Harker, Jr., and brother Rudy F. Roof, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Ellen Coombs (Dan), Natalie Schoch (John Coffey) and Emily Beshuk, as well as three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 11, 2019, Father Marc Sherlock, Celebrant. The family will be at the church at 9:30 AM for those wishing to reminisce prior to the service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH. The family requests that donations be made in memory of Ann to the Humane Society or an animal welfare charity of your choosing.
