Friend, Willis Nelson 80 of Tipp City passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at the VA Medical Center, Dayton, OH. Born in Tipp City, OH on April 19, 1933 to the late John and Veatrice {Weldy} Friend. He is survived by his loving wife; Helen N. {Norris} Friend, children; Julie Ann (Steve) Coberly, Englewood, OH, and Gregory J. Friend, Tipp City along with brother; Wilbur (Jeannie) Friend, New Carlisle, OH, sister; Violet (Wallace) Tew, Cape Charles, VA, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren , 2 expected great grandchildren and his special feline friend; "Fat Cat".

Willis was a 1951 graduate of Bethel High School, and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked as a machinist before retiring from SK Mold & Tool. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and Christian Life Center.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
