Willie Couch Jr., age 86, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Spring Meadows Care Center in Woodstock, Ohio.
He was born on April 18, 1940, in Slemp, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Judy (Adams) Couch.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deloris Jean Couch; his sons, Paul E. Couch and Willie Couch III; as well as his siblings, Johnny Couch, Bessie Blair, Kelly Couch and Vernia Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by his loving sons, David E. Couch of Independence, Missouri, Daniel L. Couch of Crystal Lake, Ohio, and Michael F. Couch of New Carlisle, Ohio; his siblings, Ruth Helton and Verlin Couch; 13 beloved grandchildren, Shelby, David, Maddie, Molly, Willie, Lorena, Cheyenne, Killian, Paul, Caleb, Carter, Cameron, and Jameson, and 5 cherished great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will treasure his memory.
Willie proudly served his country in the United States Army with the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to A.O. Smith, where he worked in shipping and receiving until his retirement. He was a former member of the Troy Fish & Game and found great joy spending time outdoors, especially fishing. Above all, Willie adored his family. He will be remembered as a devoted father, a caring brother, the best fishing buddy, and a loyal friend whose kindness and quiet strength touched the lives of many.
Family and friends may gather from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
