Miller, William Emerson age 94 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, December 3, 2023. He was born in Hawthorn, Pennsylvania on August 6, 1929 to Pete and Gertrude {Mays} Miller.
Bill graduated from Oil City Pennsylvania High School and joined the United States Navy aboard the USS Wright CVL-49. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; E. Irene {Hoover} Miller of 70 years, sisters; Anna Brown and Delores Fleischmann. Bill is survived by brother; Bruce Miller of Belleville, Illinois, children; Brian Miller of Tipp City, Ohio, Molly (Don) Stephens of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Keith (Cheryl) Miller of Hilliard, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Bill worked for Tube Products and the Tipp City Water Department. He was Superintendent for the Tipp City Street and Park department. He retired from Monroe Township as Superintendent. Bill was a member of the Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge #174, Scottish Rite of Dayton, American Legion, VFW, Tipp City Senior Citizens and Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching golf, NASCAR, drag racing and going fishing.
Visitation will be 10:30 AM until time of service at 1:30 PM Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Dale Schaefer officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
