DeVenzio, William A. "Bill" age 72 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 26, 2025. He was born March 15, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William L. and Catherine J. {Wiener} DeVenzio. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Barbara DeVenzio. He is survived by his loving wife Linda {Rung} Short of Tipp City, Ohio and step-children Andrew (Nicole) Short of Mainesville, Ohio, Aimee Short of Fortville, Indiana and Alexander Short of Tipp City, Ohio, brother in-law Fred (Terrie) Gross, nephew Morgan (Tristyn) Gross and their daughter Addie. Also surviving are grandchildren Emilia, Gwen, and John Short and Roosevelt, Ruby, and Rose Terlecky and beloved dog, Pixie.

Bill received his undergrad and Law Degree from Capital University. He went on to work as a Senior Attorney for the Dayton Office of Disability, where he ultimately retired after 40 years. He was an Advisor to Administrative Law Judges in Dayton and lead trainings at the Chicago Regional Office. Bill was a longtime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City. He was an avid reader of history and mystery. Bill was a devoted husband and welcomed his new family with open arms. He was very humble and had a gentle soul. He was respected and loved by everyone he met. Bill's presence will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Jaren Summers officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to join them for a luncheon directly after the service. Bill will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers the family suggests anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Bill's honor to please consider, Zion Lutheran Church or Miami County Animal Shelter, 1110 N. Co.
