Willard "Bill" Scott Zickafoose, age 80 of Tipp City, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. He was followed two days later by his wife of 60 years, Janice Lou (Adams) Zickafoose. Bill was born in 1935 in Lima, Ohio. He served in the Army Chemical Corps and attended Ohio State, becoming a Buckeye for life. Bill loved golfing, camping with his family, and spending time in Florida. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and nothing put a smile on his face like a baby in his lap. He said the person he admired most was his wife, Janice, because of her strength. In his final days, he reminded us to enjoy life at the present because it only comes around once. He is survived by his five children and their spouses (Jeff and Michele (Hughes) Zickafoose, Valerie (Zickafoose) and Rick Baker, Christine (Zickafoose) and Tom Homan, Michael and Jodee Zickafoose, and Steven and Melissa (Hinkle) Zickafoose), 15 grandchildren and their spouses (Joseph Zickafoose and Dolly Ann Padovani-Claudio, Jason and Breann (Hill) Zickafoose, Jacob Zickafoose, Richard Baker III, Robert Baker, Craig Jr. and Allison (Mount) Heitzman, Christopher Heitzman, Cole Heitzman, Brianne (Drury) and Derek Houle, Dallas Drury, Tyler Zickafoose, Hunter Zickafoose, Paige Zickafoose, Owen Zickafoose, and Sarah Zickafoose), 4 great-grandchildren (Gabriela Zickafoose-Padovani, Lucas Zickafoose-Padovani, Lucy Zickafoose, and A.J. Zickafoose), and his brother and his wife (Jerry and Linda Zickafoose) and their family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hazel (Hetrick) Zickafoose, and his sister, Lois (Zickafoose) Holloway. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 PM at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16. A memorial service will follow directly. Bill will be laid to rest with Janice in Lima, Ohio.
