Kessler, Wavalene age 89 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at SpringMeade after a short illness. She was born July 4, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky to the late George Layton Hysinger and Maudie Rae {Viars} Hysinger. Wavalene is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Harold Wayne Kessler, grandson Danny Charles Kessler, two sisters Wathalee (Nathaniel) Brumfield of Richmond, Kentucky and Barbara (James William) Hayes of Troy, Ohio, brother William Lewis Hysinger of Tipp City, Ohio and her second husband Joseph Roper. Wavalene is survived by daughter Elizabeth Ann Kessler of Tipp City and sister-in-law Sharon Hysinger of Tipp City. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and two step-daughters, Nancy and Kay Roper.

Wavalene was a 1955 graduate from Troy High School. She was the 4-H leader of the 7-Up Plus group for 5 years. Wavalene was a member of Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a card club for many years.
