Jason, Walter age 88 of Tipp City, Ohio died Sunday February 14, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Born February 16, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to Frank and Mary (Mentel) Jasinski. Walter was a self employed jewelry salesman and an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the Tipp City American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Western Ohio Woodworking Club, member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Walter loved his church, his country, gardening, and was a very staunch Republican! Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean Jason, sisters Nellie Jasinski, Stella Sabath, and brother Frank Jason. Surviving are his wife Sally (Wight) Jason; stepchildren Susan (Marty) Plissner, Washington D.C.; Jim Morrison, Mississippi; Jeff (Shirley) Feierstein, Troy; Julie (Micheal) Wright, Troy; and Jane (Jeff) Koopman, Troy. One sister, Eleanor M. Lehmann, Hilton Head, SC. His grandchildren Sarah Plissner, Washington D.C.; Paige Plissner, Cleveland; Amy (David Heisey) Tyre, Troy; Emily (Ryan) Hatfield, Columbus; Meggan (Eli) Barnhart, Troy; April (Ken) Fent, Cincinnati; Michael Koopman, Troy; and Blaine Wright, Troy. Twelve great grandchildren. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services 11:00 am Friday February 19, 2010 at the Zion Lutheran Church corner of Third and Main Street, Tipp City with Pastor Steve Gellatly officiating with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
