Obituary

Vikki K. Klopf, a deeply passionate and well-loved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio. Born on June 1, 1970, in Jacksonville, Florida, Vikki’s life was characterized by her boundless enthusiasm and passion for the very things she cared for.

Vikki earned her bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Franklin University, a testament to her commitment to personal growth and learning. She embraced her professional journey with the same zeal she showed in many aspects of her life, working diligently in chat support at Apple. Her vibrant curiosity and passion were infectious, whether she was immersed in the television show Smallville, captivated by the history of the Titanic, or delving into her love of all things Superman.

Her greatest joy was found in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family—where her love shone brightest. Vikki’s heart belonged to her children and grandchildren, her most treasured gifts and her proudest achievements. She is survived by her children: Mark Waggoner of Littleton, Colorado; Chris Waggoner and his wife Haley of Huber Heights, Ohio; Matthieu McDaniel and his wife Kristin of Fairborn, Ohio; and Nicole McDaniel of Fairborn, Ohio. She leaves behind three beloved grandchildren: Brayson, Adalynn, and Alice, who will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

Family was central to Vikki’s world. She is also survived by her father, Mark Klopf; stepmother, Lisa Klopf; and mother, Mary (Rhynard) Klopf. Her siblings Jennifer Slagle and her husband Jon of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Mark “Jon” Klopf and his wife Katie of Tipp City, Ohio stand alongside her loved ones in remembering her vibrant spirit.

Beyond her family, Vikki nurtured a wide array of interests that brought her joy and peace. She delighted in playing Hogwarts Legacy. Her creative soul found expression through gardening, painting on canvas, and crafting, while her love for nature led her to enjoy the ocean, whale watching, and practicing on her flight simulator.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Though her passing leaves a profound void, the warmth of her spirit, her fierce passion, and her boundless love for family will be carried in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Vikki's honor to please consider, Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
