Lawson, Vernon A. 83 of West Carrollton, OH passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in New Carlisle, OH. Born March 1, 1933 in Dayton, OH to the late Finley R. and Martha {Helton} Lawson. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Mary Janet Lawson, brothers; Virgil, Ronald & Robert Lawson, sisters; Barbara June Lawson and Joyce Stratton and step-son, James L. McDaniel. He is survived by his step daughters, Mary "Janie" Griffith, Huber Heights, OH, Kathleen Snelling, Huber Heights, OH and Diana (Dennis) Gobel, St. Augustine, FL, brother, Donald (Phyllis) Lawson, Tipp City, OH and sisters, Janet Lawson, Tipp City and Delores (Doug) Markwood, Xenia, OH along with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Vernon was a member of the American Legion, West Carrollton, OH, NCR Retired Employees Club, Patterson Co-Op Alumni, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the NRA. He worked as a model maker for both NCR and GM-Delphi. Funeral services will be held at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371 on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:30 AM; Lay Minister Andrew Maigur officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
