Schaefer, Vernon "Buss" age 93 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born February 1, 1932 in Miami County, Ohio to Dewey and Jesse Bell {McClintock} Schaefer. Buss is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Edwina, Christine, Margaret, Paul, Mike, Dave and Eldin. He survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Kathleen {Stone} Schaefer daughter, Tina (Kevin) Anderson and grandson, Christopher Anderson. Buss is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Hinkle and Ernie Schaefer.

Buss retired from A.O. Smith, where he worked as a dedicated machinist. He was a proud member of the Antique Tractor Club and enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his small crop. A true homebody at heart, Buss was always tinkering—often using copper wire to fix just about anything. He was a good man—devoted husband, loving father, and proud papaw—whose quiet strength and steady presence will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
