Gentry, Vernon M. age 85 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Sunday December 17, 2023. He was born August 21, 1938 in Baxter, Tennessee to Darwin and Buna {Palk} Gentry. Vernon is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Doris Gentry and brother; Billy Gentry. He is survived by his children; Denise (Jim) Hooper, Dana (Ryan) Murphy and Darren (Christine) Gentry all of Tipp City, siblings; Joan (Dick) Bibb of Vandalia, Ohio and Terry Gentry of Medway, Ohio. Also surviving are grandchildren; Catie (Nathan) Croy, Rachel (Zachary) Spoon, Andy (Taylor) Hooper, Joshua Morter, Meghan (Ryan) Clint, Leah (Caleb) Fawley, Micah (Jasmine) Gentry, Moriah (Dominic) Bedea, Michaela (Daniel) Garcia and Makenna Gentry and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Vernon loved his family, the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene, and especially Jesus. His greatest wish in life was for everyone in his family to know and love Jesus. Vernon was a supporter of LifeWise Academy. He was a hard worker and handyman that everyone could count on. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene, 1221 W. Main St., Tipp City. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM the following day, Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the church.
