Mura, Vera L. age 81 of West Milton, OH formerly of Norwich, CT passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, Dayton, OH. Born March 20, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph P. and Jennie {Villano} Lecara. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 44 years, Louis Mura, son, John Carlton Mura and brother, Joseph Lecara II. Vera is survived by her children; Denise (Jim) Vocke, Tipp City, OH, Louis (Leslie) Mura Jr., Bradenton, FL, Joylene (Dennis) Raptis, Brigantine, NJ, John Russell (Tammy) Mura, Monroe, GA, brothers; Kenneth Lecara, Niantic, CT, Ronald Lecara, Norwich, CT, Philip Lecara, Budapest, Hungary, Raymond Lecara, Groton, CT and sister, Joan Tuzzillino along with 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Vera was employed for 15 years with JC Penney as a sales associate. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her caring smile and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, Jewett City, CT with burial to follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswald, CT. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
