Howard, "Elsie" Vanie, 85 passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at her home near Tipp City, OH {West Charleston, Miami Co.} Elsie was born April 12, 1930 in Johnson County, KY to the late James and Minnie {Gilliam} Wright. She is survived by one son and daughter in-law, Jerry and Edna Howard, Tipp City, OH and two daughters, Karen Balsbaugh, Clayton, OH, and Dena Kuntz, Huber Heights, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Tammy Baker, Tommy Kuntz, Tim Kuntz, Dawn Howard Crusey and Jason Balsbaugh and 11 great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Harold Howard, infant daughter, Brendalen Howard, three brothers & three sisters. Elsie was a member of the Miami Valley United Baptist Church, Fairborn, OH, loved gardening, canning, sewing and treasure hunting, but her greatest love was for her family & grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Miami Valley United Baptist Church, 660 W. Hyde Rd. Yellow Springs, OH; Pastor Freddie Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery, Donnelsville, OH. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371.
