Higgins, Thomas "Tom" J. age 67 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away comfortably at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He was born October 21, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio to James R. Higgins and Clara M. Dixon. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, step-son; William C. Fry, sister; Teresa Adams and son in law; Cory W. Hollis. He is survived by his step-mother Linda Higgins of Denton, Texas, his loving wife of 40 years; Debbie Higgins of Tipp City, daughter; Kristen M. Hollis of Tipp City,  and brother; Mike (Patty) Higgins of Apple Valley, Minnesota. Also surviving are grandchildren; Hunter Hollis, Nicholas, Austin and Haley Fry.

Tom was a Police Officer for the City of Piqua from 1979 until he retired in 2004. He worked for Miami County Job and Family Services and he helped start AAA driving school in Miami County. Tom enjoyed fishing, going on vacation with his family and watching the kids play sports. He loved his jobs but the one he enjoyed the most was Papaw and being Hunter's buddy. Tom loved his family and was the best husband, dad and papaw.

Visitation will be held 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, April 25, 2024 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Funeral service at 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2024 at the funeral home. Pastor Chad Wilson officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
