Elrod, Thomas E. "Tom" 74 of Tipp City passed away peacefully on Monday, August 04, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born July 6, 1940 in Louisville, KY to Thomas E. and Mae {Potter} Elrod Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nancy {Collins} Elrod. He is survived by his daughters; Connie Stith, Sidney, OH and Casey and her husband Mark English, West Milton, OH along with grandchildren, Jordan, English, Matthew Stith, Morgan Stith and Justin English as well as sister, Patricia and her husband Bill Gould, College Station, Texas. Tom graduated from Indiana University with a degree in business. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta, the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during Viet Nam. He was the owner of Thomas Elrod Insurance Company, Tipp City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Tom to Hospice of Dayton.
