Watson, Thelma M. {Martin}, 89 of Tipp City, OH passed away in Hospice Care, Troy, OH on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born April 26, 1926 in Dayton, OH to William R. and Irmma Lee {Schaeffer} Goodman. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 33 years; whom she married on October 13, 1942, Lester E. Martin. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Virginia Winterbotham and Carmma Troxell, and brother, William R. Goodman Jr. Thelma is survived by her children; Connie (Donald) Gayhart, Janice (Jerry) Cobb, Pamela Dillon, Lester Ed. Martin and Ashley Lykins. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She attended Roosevelt High School. She worked for A. O. Smith Corporation in Tipp City for 30 years. Thelma was a member of the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed sewing, reading and caring for her family. A memorial service to celebrate Thelma's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene,. Pastors Richard Griffith and Richard Morin will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the service at the church for family and friends. Thelma's family wishes to thank the incredible staff of Good Samaritan Hospital and the staff of Hospice of Miami County for their compassionate love and care.
