Smith, Ted E. made his transition on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the age of 80. He was the son of Opha and Rolla Smith who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by ex-wife, Marian Emmenegger; son, Mark Smith; sister, Phyllis Kinnison and her husband, George; brother Don Smith and his wife, Bertha; and nephew, Peter Kinnison. Surviving are his son, Jeffery Smith and his wife, Susan Fraiman of Charlottesville, VA and sisters Clarette Smith and Ann Smith of Tipp city; and several nieces and nephews. Ted was a kind, gentle spirit who we remember as an artist, loving art and nature. He cherished his two sons and his many trips to Colorado to visit Jeff. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for Sears Roebuck and Spring Hill Nurseries. We will miss Ted but we will honor him forever with fond memories of his smile and sense of humor. "I haven't really left you.
