Susanne Antil

Antil, Susanne “Susie” age 94 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Miami County on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born December 23, 1931 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Frank and Susie {Wright} Reimer. Susie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Antil and brother William Reimer. She is survived by her children Karen (Dale) Katzfey of Tipp City, Jane (Patrick) O’Brien of Courtmacsherry, County Cork, Ireland, Linda (Blaise) Drugatz of Middlefield, New York, Amy Brakefield of Tempe, Arizona. Also surviving are 12 cherished grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Susie will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and her keen wit that brought joy to those around her. She made friends wherever she went and was an active, valued member of the StoryPoint community. Throughout her life, Susie and her family moved across the country in support of her husband James's career, embracing each new adventure together. She loved to travel and treasured the experiences and memories made along the way.

Above all, Susie was a devoted wife, an exceptional mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She wholeheartedly supported her daughters in every stage of their lives, never missing an activity—even while nine months pregnant. Her love, encouragement, and unwavering presence were gifts her family will always cherish. Susie was also famous among family and friends for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, a simple tradition that became a treasured expression of her love and generosity.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at StoryPoint, IPod Unit at UVMC, and Hospice of Miami County for the compassion, kindness, and excellent care they provided to Susie during her final days. Their support brought comfort to both Susie and her loved ones, and it will never be forgotten.
