Hawthorne, Steven P. "HoHo", age 64 passed away at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Born in Miami County on July 22, 1956 to Paul and Joyce (Staup) Hawthorne who precede him in death. He is survived by the love of his life Rose Durst, for 43 years, sister-in-laws, Vickie (Paul) and Kimmie (Rick), nieces and nephews, Shannon, Heather (Allen), Lisa (Russ), Seth (Marla), Levi and Nick, sister Nancy (Tom), and several treasured friends. Steve was a proud father to his four legged children; two dogs, Marcie and Darcie, and seven cats, Gracie, Yogi, Clara, Rotella, Piedmont, Darcie's Kitty, and Morris Minor. Steve worked as a Diesel Mechanic for FedEx in Vandalia. He was a member of the Tipp City Eagles 2201, VFW Post 4615, and the Troy Fish and Game Club. He loved to attend antique car shows to display his 1955 Chevy. He was a collector of all things John Deere and was the man of many nicknames including Otis, HoHo, Emmit and HaHa. He enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main Street, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
