After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Sieglinde "Linde" Amrich, age 88, of Troy, Ohio, formerly of Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully this week, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on January 9, 1936, in Heilbronn, Germany, to Fritz and Theresa Nickel, Linde overcame the profound personal loss and the hardship of war as a child.  In 1966, she married Joseph Amrich and they moved to Pennsylvania in 1970, where they lived for 50 years. Linde is survived by her daughter Regina, son-in-law Rick, granddaughters Madison, Avery, and Sydney, and grandson Norman of Germany.  In heaven, she joins her parents, brothers, husband Joseph, and sons Bernd and Norman.

Linde loved traveling to Germany every other summer to visit family and friends, often extending her trips to neighboring countries. She sang in the choir and volunteered for events at St. John's, as well as other cultural festivals and events in Mt. Carmel.   She enjoyed socializing, dining, dancing and playing games with the people she loved.   A gourmet cook, skilled knitter, and expert gardener, Linde delighted in sharing the wonderful fruits of her many passions and talents with her friends and family.  She always prioritized the well-being of others ahead of her own.  Her legacy of tolerance, compassion, generosity, and love endures in the hearts of those who knew her.

Funeral arrangements are overseen by Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. On Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 1:30 PM, a brief graveside service will be followed by her inurnment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003.
