McDowell, Shirley Jewell age 81 of Troy, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Troy, Ohio.  Born October 9, 1937 in London, Kentucky to Mitchell S. and Louetta (Lambert) Collett who preceded her in death.  She is also preceded by sisters Mary Gray and Sandra Kay Collett and brother Stacy Collett.  Shirley attended the Victory Assembly of God church, was a wonderful cook, loved shopping, was a great singer, and had traveled to all fifty states.  She will be best remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and friend to all.  She is survived by her husband James T. "J.T." McDowell Sr., sons James T. (Kim) McDowell Jr., Troy, and David H. McDowell, Piqua, daughters Sherri Lynn (Daryl) Perkins, New York, and Sharon M.(Brian) Kennedy, Marysville, OH, sister Barbara (Steve) Jennings, Florida, brother Sam R. Collett, Troy, brother-in-law Rev. Paul Gray Sr., Indiana, grandchildren James Thad McDowell III, Kara (Eric) Huelskamp, Kali, Kelsey and Zane McDowell, Kathleen and Conner Kennedy, and Victoria Perkins, and four great grandchildren.  Funeral Service 11:00am Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Frings & Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371with Rev.
