Heitzman, Sherry L. age 75 of Troy, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. Sherry was born on August 14, 1949 in Troy, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her father Morris E. Curtis and her mother Carmen died when Sherry was just three years old. She is also preceded by her son Jerry Heitzman and her grandparents Goldie and Gerald Heaton. She is survived by her step-mother Grace {Heaton} Curtis, cousins Tom (Carol) Curtis, Pam (Ed) Reenter, and Linda Brant, as well as, numerous other cousins and her good friend DeDe Mott.

Sherry graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 1967. She then attended the School of Dayton Art Institute before its closure. Sherry was a self-taught, true artist. She was proficient in line drawing, portraits, and oil painting. She was a member of the Troy Senior Citizens and the First Lutheran Church. She taught art classes at the Hayner Center in Troy. Most of all she loved being in her own space and working in her studio. Sherry was a talented individual and good friend. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 1:30-2:30 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, with burial to follow directly after at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
