Gabbard, Shane , age 54, passed away on October 23, 2021.  He resided in Piqua, Ohio for the past 22 years with partner, Kay Holevinski, and was a loving father figure to Jade and Mikaylee Hoelsher.  He is also survived by his brother, Barry Gabbard, sister, Rochelle Burtner, and his Uncle and Aunt, Scott and Roberta Gongwer.  Shane's death was followed two days later by his mother, Ruthanna Moore, and was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell and Eileen Powell.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 29, 1966.

Shane was passionate about sports.  Not only did he follow pro football and baseball, he enjoyed playing sports related video games.  Shane was a longtime fan of the musical group KISS and Prince.  He loved pets, especially the several dogs he had during his life.

Visitation for Shane will be held jointly with his mother Ruthanna from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.  There will be a luncheon following the service on Thursday at the American Legion Post #586, 377 N. Third St. Tipp City, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter in Troy, Ohio.
