Bretland, Scott A. age 60 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 surrounded by his devoted family. Scott was born on April 2, 1964 in Troy, Ohio to Raymond and Constance {Smith} Bretland. He is preceded in death by his father and survived by his loving wife Laurie {Lemon} Bretland, children; Michelle Bretland and Andrew (Courtney) Bretland of Union, Ohio, step-children; Mary (Austin) Tesch, of Piqua, Ohio and Joseph Tesch of Tipp City, Ohio. Also surviving are siblings; Matthew Bretland of Troy, Ohio, Mark (Judy) Bretland of Hammersville, Ohio and Eric Bretland of Troy, Ohio.

Scott proudly served our country as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force from 1982-1992. He received several accolades for outstanding service and was affectionately nicknamed "Scooter" by his fellow soldiers. Scott was an AA Member for the past 11 years. Through his AA fellowship he has become an exceptional father and role model. Scott found great joy in anonymously donating to underprivileged youth, especially during the holidays. He was always known to lend a helping hand and was able to build anything. Scott was a tinkerer, an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and a gun enthusiast. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but his greatest love was for his family.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at the Tipp City Global Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service.
