Moore, Ruthanna age 78, passed away on October 25, 2021.  She lived in the Dayton, Ohio area for her entire adult life and currently resided in Troy, Ohio.  Her devotion to her family and selfless generosity to family and friends defined her life.  She is survived by her son, Barry Gabbard, daughter, Rochelle Burtner, three grandchildren, Michael Vanderpool, Casey Resch, Anthony Gabbard, seven great grandchildren and sister and family, Roberta, Scott, Russell and Michael Gongwer.  Ruthanna was preceded in death by her son, Shane Gabbard, her mother, Eileen Powell, and stepfather, Russell Powell.   Ruthanna was born on July 17, 1943 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.  She graduated from Richmond Senior High School in Richmond, Indiana.

Ruthanna worked many years at the American Legion in Tipp City, Ohio.  Not only did she enjoy family gatherings, but some of her favorite activities included going to garage sales and watching pro football games.  She was an animal lover having many pets over the years and enjoyed watching wildlife.

Visitation for Ruthanna will be held jointly with her son, Shane from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.  There will be a luncheon following the service on Thursday at the American Legion Post #586, 377 N. Third St. Tipp City, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter in Troy, Ohio.
