Suerdieck, Ruth Maxene, 83 of Tipp City, OH a resident of Stone Spring of Vandalia, OH passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. Born July 15, 1932 in Bradford, OH to Ralph D. and Bertha E. {Frey} Durst. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 44 years, Carl J. "Pep" Suerdieck, sister, Mary Anne Alexander, brother, Gerald L. Durst, brother, Ralph J. Durst and twin sister Marlene Hahnel. She is survived by three children; Carla (Chris) Frame, Tipp City, OH, Kimberly Burns, Bradenton, FL, and T. J. Suerdieck, Greenville, OH, 4 grandchildren; Joseph Suerdieck, Bixby (LeighAnne) Hartley, Lauren and Daniel Frame, 3 great grandchildren; Jackson and Kylee Suerdieck and Brynleigh Hartley. Maxene graduated from Newton High School in 1950 and Miami Valley Hospital Department of Radiology in 1955. She worked as an X-Ray technologist at Dettmer Hospital in Troy, OH and for 23 years at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, OH. Maxene retired as Director of Radiology from St. Elizabeth on December 31, 1988. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, a long- time member of the Ladies Golf League at Miami Shores Golf Course, Troy, OH and a past member of the Soroptimist International of Tipp City. Maxene enjoyed golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St., Tipp City, OH, Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating; burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Maxene to Hospice of Dayton or Zion Lutheran Church.
