Schmidt, Ruth E . age 86 of Bethel Township, Miami County, OH, formerly of West Carrolton, OH passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Randall Residence, Tipp City, OH.  Born June 6, 1934 in Montgomery County, OH to William Roland and Catherine Louise {Hartzell} Wood.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis F. "Fritz" Schmidt, and sister, Anne Wood.  Ruth is survived by her children, Linda Gilliam, Lancaster, OH, Wendy (Dan) Watson, Tipp City, OH and Eric (Kathy) Schmidt, Cincinnati, OH, brother, Bill (LaDonna) Wood, West Carrolton, OH, 6 grandchildren, Chris (Emily) Gilliam, Jason (Adrienne) Gilliam, Katy (Phil) Davis, Brooke (Eric) Unger, Katie (Jon) Currier, and Will (Katie) Watson, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Ruth was a wonderful baker, enjoyed crossword puzzles and the outdoors; she loved cats and dogs especially her furry friend Sophie.

Visitation, Monday, July 27, 2020 10:00 AM until time of service at Noon at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W.
